Metal Deck Support Detail at Column

Hi Everyone,

For the referenced detail, do I have to provide those diagonal angles if there are no penetrations near the column?

The steel and deck mfr. / installers are going to require a detail for this scenario. We usually just weld the deck edges directly to the column flanges and cover it during the shop drawing phase.

We've only ever provided the L4x4 welded to the column face. And even then, with this framing scenario I'm not sure we'd even do that.
