Hi everybody
How can i model the membrane behaviour of any shell element.
The membrane must behave only in tension.
Do i use stiffness modiffiers, or something like this, to perform membran e tension only behaviour.

Thanks

In order to model a tension only membrane you need to use a nonlinear analysis with p-Delta plus large displacements analysis and provide several nodes in plane. Doing so allows the the membrane to buckle under compression loads, and with a negligible bending resistance defined, the element will only have tension capacity left to resist the load.
