Hi all,
A disclaimer, I'm an Mech.Eng. but not from the Mechatronics field.
I need help figuring out how to correctly wire an IDC 26 Pin Female Connector so that the pinouts match between a PLC controller and a Step Motor Controller with PNP (SMC).
I'm not even entirely sure if there is a need to match the pin layout, or it is standardized (relative to the alignment bump on the connector).
The SMC is a PNP type and it came with a kit of two identical I/O cables, with a 26 pin IDC female connector (corresponds to the CN5 I/O connector on the SMC) on one end, and unstripped flat band on the other side to be wired to another connector.
The system will run on 24VDC.
In any case, for some of you it might seem obvious but i just cant make a mistake as we dont have any spare parts (for now) and a deadline is fast approaching.
