Mechanism Non-Linear Spring

Hello All,

Does anyone know if it is possible or if there is a workaround to model a non-linear spring in mechanism? It appears the spring rate can only be linear for a mechanism spring.

Not sure if some gurus out there have used custom load functions to accomplish the same effect.

How about creating a joint (like a slider) then create a measure of distance on the axis of this "spring". You can then define a Force Motor acting on the connection's slider DOF and use a "User Defined" expression. Make the function anything you want which is a function of the measure.
