Mechanical code ?

I am looking for the mechanical code that is the equivilant to the NEC(National Electrical Code).
Specifically, I would like to the what mechanical standard or code is used to regulate industrial
machinery.

As far as I know, the overriding code for industrial machinery are the OSHA regulations.

The Machinery's Handbook is a begining. Mark's Handbook is used by many P. E. s. Society of Automotive Engrs has issued standards as has ASTM.
