Maximum tension in a rivet joint?

If a rivet is subject to a force of let us say 900 Newton, how would i calculate the maximum tension which act on the plate.

I don't think i can do it with F/A since the tension shouldn't be evenly distributed since the hole is circular.

Normally, rivets are to designed for use in shear, such as in a lap joint. Assuming your case of tensile forces on the joint, the rivet head geometry is critical because under tensile load the forces would want to pry the rivet head off. In addition, one has to assume you have complete fill of the rivet into the rivet hole. Thus, you need to consider shear forces acting on the head of the rivet versus the body of the rivet.
 
I am intrested in the maximum tension who acts on the plate, since it is made of plastic, so the joint r going to be dimensioned after the plate and not the rivet, the durability of the rivet wont be a problem, but i need to find the von mise for the plate, so to speak.
