Is it possible to use MAX in FCF with all GT symbol?

Yes, of course. You know this because you can see it for yourself in the standard.

I wouldn't normally recommend it unless necessary as it puts additional restrictions on your MMC control.

To my knowlege, MAX forces an axis interpretation instead of a surface interpretation (ie: not only do you have to verify virtual condition is not violated, but also that the axis position error does not exceed the MAX value even if there would normally be additional bonus tolerance due to size variation).

Yes I guess I should have been more specific. Burunduk is correct - MMC (or LMC) allows additional variation above what is stated in the FCF as the feature deviates from MMC (or LMC) size, so it would only make sense to use it with MMC (or LMC) controls.

By definition RFS is the maximum limit possible.

guys can you clarify this a little for FCF?
where is this defined in ASME?

The figure in the OP is from ASME Y14.5-2018.

See Y14.5-2009 para 2.8.3 and 6.4.4 and the comparable figure 6-15 that OP posted.

Y14.5-2018 has a better explanation though and it relation to the axis method.
