It may sound quite easy, but my question is the following : What kind of function or a operator should I use to define a countor that is independent from the order in which the defining points are arranged. i.e. I want to define a section contour by using discreet points. I ususlly use linterp function, but as I said it requires ascending order of one of the coordinates. The idea is to define a relatively arbitrary section only by using coordinates, not functions defining different parts of it. I also want to be able to rotate it.
P.S. I found some guidance in " Roark's formulas for stress and strain" - parametrizing the coords - but the results were far from what I expected.

I would appreciate any answer. Thanks
