Mathcad: assistance to open xml on windows 8?

Hi all,
I have been given a .xmcd file but when I download it onto my computer to use in Mathcad it saves as .xml

As you can tell I am a first timer, so would appreciate any tips - running mathcad14 on windows 8 (64bit).

my first suggestion would be to rename the file back to .xmcd and try opening it.
