Material used for the rotating shaft in Flowserve BB2 centrifugal pumps?

Hello everyone,

I'm currently researching API 610-compliant BB2 centrifugal pumps, specifically those manufactured by Flowserve. I would like to know what material is typically used for the rotating shaft in these pumps.
I've reviewed some general documentation, but I couldn’t find precise or consistent information regarding the shaft material (e.g., stainless steel, duplex, Monel, etc.). If anyone has experience with these pumps or has access to detailed technical data, I’d really appreciate your insight.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best regards,

If it's an API610 pump, the shaft material would generally be as denoted in Table H2 (to be fair, my reference copy is the 10th ed).

Thank you very much for your response and your help — I really appreciate it!

Yes, you're right, if it's an API 610 pump, the shaft material is generally selected according to Table H.2 (I'm also referring to the 10th edition). However, the challenge I'm facing is that determining the material class requires knowing the type of fluid being pumped, and unfortunately, I don't have that information. That's why I'm planning to conduct a benchmark of the shaft materials that are most commonly used
