Dear All

We got a machine drawing of a quotation, the material shows "C50E56A", what kind of metal (Inconel 718? Carbon steel?), thanks.

Dear Joe Chen,

Check EN 10132-3

This looks like GE specification. Maybe somebody here has it in personal collection or you must contact your local GE person.

It supposed to GE spec, but not aviation, seems to energy or power specs.

Both C50 and C50E exist (C50: werkstoff 1.0540, EN 10250-2 and C50E: werkstoff 1.1206, EN 10132-3)
No idea about the 56A.

Joe Chen,
If you are going to quote on something you need more than opinions on an internet forum.
ASK THE COMPANY WHO SUPPLIED YOU WITH THE DRAWING.
I see similar questions to yours everyday when the poster seems to not want to seem unprofessional by asking the client for clarification.
I have worked as the Clients Quality Rep for many years and I would be very upset if a contractor went on an internet forum to ask for clarification rather than asking me,
Regards,
Shane
