Hi All,

I have SOLID45 element with two material properties 1 and 2. I build my structural model and mesh it with appropriate materials.

Whenn I use a ETCHG,STT command then all the material in the SOLID70 model changes to material 2. What is the correct way of doing this?

Regards

Hi,
first "isolate" the desired elements with an appropriate "ESEL,s,..." command, or create a Named Selection (=Component) and select it with "cmsel,s,...".
After your ETCHG, remember to reselect ALL items in the model: "allsel".
