So I am modeling mat slab in RISA 3D for a 130ftx100 ft slab. Individual plate dimensions within model are 6.5ftx4.5 ft each. Longitudinal axis is x-axis and shorter dimension is along z-axis. Compression springs are used under the mat to account for soil properties. Running analysis gives me an error message stating that reaction point at application has been locked and force cannot Br applied to the model. Anyone have the idea how to mitigate the issue. When I check the results it shows me Mxy moments for each individual plates.

Thanks in advance for suggestions.

Garbage out usually means garbage in. Check your model, restraints, loads, boundary conditions, DOF at nodes, etc. Is there someone in your office that may have modeled a similar structure? Are the RISA guys any help? Do you have a similar model that works that you can tweak?

Have you only applied soil springs as your boundary conditions? You are using a 3-dimensional FEA tool, you need to make sure the equations of motion for all global degrees of freedom are satisfied (e.i. add some rigid restraints in-plane)
