Mass Name Change in Part Navigator

I have a file with large quantities of curves in the part navigator. I need to rename these curves in the part navigator for down stream users. Is there anyway to perform a mass name change, for example, select 30 curves and rename them C1,C2,C3 etc...

This can be done using the 'Properties' dialog if you were only interested in naming objects, such as the curves, but in the case of the Curve 'Features' there's not an interactive scheme to do this, but it probably could be done fairly straight-forward using the Open API tools.
