Need to simulate and optimize the supply costs & just-in-time logistics of a highly mobile manufacturing center, considering its geographical location in the transportation network in relation to its numerous possible suppliers at any given time. Anyone have any ideas on commercial software that could handle this problem. Similar to supplying food to an army ant colony as it goes across the jungle, suggesting that a sim package using the ant analogy might be an appropriate place to begin.
