Most municipalities limit the height of manhole chimneys to 18". What considerations dictate this height limit?
Feb 24, 2014 #2 cvg Civil/Environmental Dec 16, 1999 6,868 I have seen everywhere from 12 - 30 inch or no limits at all. Shorter lengths make it much easier to get in and out of the manhole, so I would say mostly safety reasons. Upvote 0 Downvote
