Suppose I assign a programming task that I’ve estimated will take 7% of my time to manage during its life.

If I set up a 100-hr programming task with a programmer as a resource) and then another management task as me as a resource, how do I tie the management task to the programming task and inject a 7% factor?

I’ve tried all the predecessor types and constraints and can’t seem to get the dates to line up without manually manipulating the end date of the management task.

Perplexed or Ignorant or both?

Don't think there is a way to do that algorithmically. I think that you have to set the work for the second task at 7hrs and load the resource at 7%.
