Making one part from assembly components 1

Is it possible to make a single part file from a number of separate parts that make up an assembly. In other words, I have an assembly composed of a main component with 9 separate part files (detail parts)....and I'd like to now save that assembly (all 10 parts) as a single part file.

Yes, do a File > Save As & from the Save as type select Part(*.prt,*.sldprt)
