Sup ppl!

I became interested in being able to make my own magnets out of scratch (without electricity), so I thought that, maybe, there are processes of turning hematite, iron, iron oxide or any other, not-too-complex iron compound into magnetite.

Know of any ways of doing so?

If you want to make magnets you need to look at history.
Before Alnico permanent magnets were based on variations of tools steels.
