I am an undergraduate student at Georgia Tech. I plan on attending graduate school next year and have been looking into power cycles using ferrofluids. If anyone has any leads as to experiments that have already been performed I would greatly appreciate it.

Check with the US Department of Energy and Department of Defense. The Department of Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) subsidizes this kind of research and the US did much work in these technologies during the cold war days. The US National Science Foundation might also be a good place to ask questions. All of these organizations have web sites.
