Machining drawings vs. Casting drawings

Just curious what is the difference between machining drawings and casting drawings and could someone give me examples of each. Also, how do I make a casting drawing from a regular part drawing in AutoCad.......would i just use the offset command to make the casting drawing...i.e. .090" bigger than the part. Thanks.

The mechanical drawing will show the fisished fully machined part, with any relevant surface finish requirements. The casting drawing will show the rough part as it is to be cast. to create the casting drawing from the mechanical drawing you cn offset the surfaces (lines) of some amount, but be aware of and draft (slope) required with in the mold, and also where and riseres, vents, runners and sprues will be (Google there terms if you are unfamiliar with them or the casting process).
