Low Pressure NG Compressors 1

I'm looking for manufacturers besides Quincy for natural gas compressors, about 20 cfm, with inlet P = 2 psig and outlet P = 150 psig.

I also need a CSI format spec for these units?
Can anyone please help?

At about 30 MCFd (never specify natural gas compressors in CFM, it is always thousands or millions (MM) of standard cubic feet per day) you have a range of flooded screws (don't try to do 10 ratios in a dry screw, it gets a bit warm) from Gardner Denver, Sullair, and Frick.

I don't know much about Quicy's (the only ones I've run have been recips), but if you're talking about a recip in that service you're asking for a world of trouble (see the FAQ in this forum for my opinions on when to chose recips vs. screws).

You'll have to elaborate on what you mean by "CSI format spec". The only "CSI" I that I'm familiar with is a U.S. packager and you can be sure that they'll accept an order in any format you can come up with (I once placed an order by signing a beer-soaked bar napkin, but that is another story from a less litegous time).

Blackmer builds a 2-stage reciprocating compressor that will handle a variety of gases and also natural gas very nicely. You'll find free software at their site to help you estimate the bHP and size you'l requaire. I don't know about how they'll conform to your "csi" specifications, but they are an old outfit and are competitive in this area so they should have no problem.

There are (or were) other manufacturers - Rix Compressors is one - but I can't recall them all. Yours is a very small size and it won't be easy. In the old days I could name you mayber 5 manufacturers; today the 3 mentioned pretty well define the majority of the field for this size machine.

CSI format?...I am curious about his one too as I work for the CSI David mentions above..... I have never heard of this one.

csi - construction specifications institute.

while employed in oil and gas industry (15 years), i never heard of csi. csi specs are used in the building & government construction industries.

frankly, csi written specs do not apply nor belong in the oil and gas industry. the o&g industry, in general and as a whole, adopted & utilized more strigent specs, practices, and procedures to ensure the safe and reliable design and operation of equipment & related facilities.

CSI is Construction Specification Institue, the somewhat standard 3 part specs used by many Architect/Engineers and required by many federal agencies. Many manufacturers actually have specs in this format i8n their fles and available for use by engineers.

By the way, I know this is a teeny little compressor for NG service which is why I asked for some help. I'll definitely check out Blackmer and should have thought of RIX already.
