Anybody have a suggestion where to look for wood moulding profiles? At the very least I need the dimensions, but cad models would be just fine as well. Crown, chair rail, hand rails, etc. I did a search on the nest but no luck.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks but these only list overall dimensions. I really need fully dimensioned pieces (radii, grooves, etc.). Probably whatever is used to manufacture the tooling that creates the finished moulding pieces. I am trying to design some custom shaped bookcases using off the shelf mouldings. I would like to to be as accurate as possible.

Thanks again,

If you go to this link and create a username and password you can download DWG files of standard wood mouldings.

DWG files then can be put onto a sketch and used to make extrusions or create weldment profiles.

Thanks for the link but, please tell me if I am missing something here, this again is just overall dimensions. No radii, angles, etc. I need fully dimensioned pieces to make the full profile for extruding it. If there was a spot on that site with this information that I missed please let me know.
Thanks again,
Cygnas

Bring it into DWGEditor and dimension it.

The DWG's that are available on the second website I suggested should have the correct radi, angles etc.

Insert the dwg into a new part, delete the lines etc that are not needed for the extrusion, then you can select all the line entities and move them to the origin. You could then add all the relationships to make it fully defined, or what I do is select all the enitities and add a Fixed relationship so they don't move on me.

Furthermore this profile could be saved as a weldment profile. Look in help on how to do this.

The benefit of creating a weldment profile for these is that you can create several different cuts at the joints.
