looking for material type for DIN 1804 5W

print calls for the nut to be made to DIN 1804 and the material is listed as steel( 5W). I don't know what the 5W is. I would be greatfull for any help

This is an ancient DIN standard, last changed in 1971. The 5 means class 5 according to DIN 267 Part 4, which is now obsolete, having been superceded by DIN EN 20898-2 (same as ISO 898-2). The W means unhardened. Just about steel can be used to meet the property requirements of ISO 898-2 class 5. The following link has additional information:
