I am looking for an accurate calculation method on the center distance required for hobbing helical gears.
I am looking for the calculation to be flexible enough to be accurate even though the shaft angles are not parallel, and taking into account the final desired tooth thickness on the hobbed helical gear, which may not be 1/2 its normal circular pitch.
Can anyone provide me a reference to find such a calculation method?
