The switch works like a mechanical pen; press for on all the time, and press for off all the time. It's typically works like a computer on/off switch. Any info or tip would be appreciated.

Just google "on-off switch" for a huge selection. Check this for a general info on different switch types. http://www.kpsec.freeuk.com/components/switch.htm The one you are looking for is called a "Push-Push On/Off switch".
