Longitudinal Shear in Built up Beam

Can chapter G of the AISCM be used for a built up beam subject to longitudinal shear, but obviously using the correct cross sectional dimensions? A=web length*web thickness

Can you sketch what the problem is? Are you looking at shear flow between connected elements, or an eccentric axial load? Otherwise shear along the length of the member isn't checked, it's effectively just the differential of the axial stresses from flexure.
