long-term deformatiom in CMC?

Hi,all,

I'm not quite understanding the meaning of "long-term deformation of ceramic matrix composite with fiber architecture". As ceramic is a brittle material, if there is long-term deformation in CMC, what does it mean? It means plasticity in CMC, or it means something else?
