Depending on the level of precision you require, I'm not sure I'd use WWII era data. Materials have changed. We've got a 1946 Pines tube bender that came with its original manual and data tables. We've since proven our own data tables based on current materials, and if you're splitting hairs, there is a difference.
It is better to have enough ideas for some of them to be wrong, than to be always right by having no ideas at all.
