We have an application with an existing vertical, round tank, with dish bottom.
4" diameter outlet nozzle about 4" long( located at center of bottom dish).
The 4" piping connected to the outlet drops about 6" and turns 90 degrees and runs along the floor about 20 ft to pump.
I'd like to install an existing 4" flanged DP transmitter in the 4" pipe to determine level in the tank. We're not concerned with knowing level during emptying or filling the tank. We are only concerned with level when level is static.
How far away from the bottom of the tank in the 4" line can I install the sensor and still read level?
Does it have to be directly at the 90 degree elbow or can it be any distance away from the bottom tank nozzle along the 4" pipe?
