load forecasting (T&D Planning)

Hello,
For all the T&D Planners, I am curious what load forecasting tools and methods you use.

Excel forecasting tools?
Spatial forecasting tools? (i.e. ESRI based software)
Regression models?
Computer simulation methods?
Weather normalization?

I've done a couple forecasts, one with GIS-based spatial tools and another with pure excel regression. I'm interested in what others are doing...
