I'm sure this must have come up in some thread before but I couldn't find it. I'm trying to find the live load for a room with a use that is not specified in IBC nor ASCE. Does anyone have a good reference to use for an instance like this?

you mean a bedroom in a hotel or motel? That is in the code somewhere. Hotels: See Residential. Private Rooms and corridors serving them?

Bridal Suite is less a live load classification and more a description of how a Private Room will be used. 40psf.

its a bridal suite attached to a wedding hall. But where do you see that private rooms are 40 psf?

Don't overthink this. If it's attached to an assembly space, just make it all the same. Trying to break up live load room by room is going to drive you nuts, and make it impossible for the owner or future owners to every do anything else with the building.

A snapshot of the plans would be beneficial (how large is the room, what is adjacent or connected to this room, etc), but I'm with pham, I would probably lean towards 40psf. Is this room significantly different from a hotel room or a 2nd story corridor in a motel?

Edit - Unless it provides a planned evacuation pathway for the wedding hall, if that is the situation, I would use 100psf.
