Hi folks,
I'm relatively new on this forum . Despite severl days spend on the web looking for some basic thermodynamics dat I could'nt find what I've been looking for. My question is :
dissolving Lithium / Sodim (metallic) in pure water, how much heat do I get ? I assume that Hydrogen developed in the reaction is not burning and just leaving the system.
ie. Li + H2O > LiOH + 1/2H2 + heat(?)

Thanks for your help
