Hello everyone,

I'm currently trying to find a charge controller to use with a 12 volt, 10 aH lithium ion battery. My understanding was that the battery would consist of 3 cells and therefore measure 12.6 volts when charged. Therefore, to charge I expected I would have to use around 12.6 maybe higher. However, on the data sheet for the battery which I'll link to in case it's of any help it says it should be charged at 14.6 volts minimum. Does this seem a little high for a lithium ion battery? Anyone have any ideas why it is so high?

You have to scroll down to the 12 volt 10 aH one

Interesting batteries by the way. Hate their idiot marketing website but I'll keep those batteries in mind.

Can I ask what kind of product/device you intend to run with it?

Hey Keith,

Plan is to use it in a prototype of a portable solar phone charger unit.
