I am looking for a freeware/shareware program for analysing linkages, 4-bar and other types-mechanical movement, velocities, forces etc.
Would appreciate pointer to web page.

dooron,

You may want to check out this on-line resource Four-Bar Linkage Analysis and Synthesis (
Although certainly not freeware/shareware, if you are interesting in synthesizing mechanisms and are a Pro/ENGINEER user, I suggest taking a look at SyMech ( There is a 30-day demo. It is a very useful tool.

dooron,

I created a FAQ, Resources for Mechanism Analysis and Synthesis (FAQ404-804). Please also avoid posting to more than one forum at a time.
