I'm trying to select linear diffuser for a lobby area. I have a choice of 1-slot or 2-slot. The linear diffusers are to be located at the perimeter of the space. Do I need to select 2-slot, one for vertical airflow direction, one for horizontal direction? Or 1-slot linear diffuser good enough?

Thanks.

This is usually an airflow decision. Is the 1-slot capable of providing enough air for your loads?

Usually not in most perimeter applications i've dealt with.

if i go 1-inch slot, it's enough. I need about 30-40 CFM/ft. So, it's better to go 1/2", 2-slot?

I prefer two slot for air conditioning applications. One slot to wash the perimeter, one slot to serve the interior. If you select one slot to wash the exterior, by the time it gets to the floor, it will not have the cooling affect you expected.

Get a two slot that allows changing air flow in the field, this allows for flexibility if/when an issue comes up

Good luck

1/2" slots are also preferred by the architect, as you can't see the inners as much as the 1".
