Lighting clearance from hydronic heating element

Hello,

I was trying to find CEC reference which discusses clearance of luminaire/lighting fixtures from hydronic ceiling radiant heating element, but am unable to find one. Please do point me in the right direction should there be a code that addresses this issue.

Hi katwalatapan,

I don't believe you will find a code that deals with this. However, I don't think it matters unless the luminaire you are proposing is beneath (in the thermal view of) the radiant panel. Radiant panels are typically insulated on top and sides.

Give us a detailed description of your application, and perhaps one of the others in the forum will have had more experience to share. I have only run across radiant panels twice when designing lighting, and I had no issues. I laid out my lights first, and the mechanical engineer spaced the panels to look nice and keep some symmetry. So none of them wound up adjacent to my fixtures.
