Life of toothed belt..

I have a geared speed reducer with a toothed belt drive at the output.

<Problem> - I am experiencing problems with the life of the belt. It is breaking after half the life of the reducer and I cannot increase the size width of belt due to size constraints. I have tried different materials of belt but it does not make huge difference.

After the belt has broken there is not any excessive play in the bearings at all, so this is not a factor.

Is there any belt manufacturers that have 'high-life' belts or types. or even 'black magic' ideas or any ideas...??...?

Thanks,
roozle

Could you be more specific.
How many hours is it lasting?

information would be helpful.
How is it tensioned? Who
made or designed the sprocket?
