I have a vessel with a flange described as "24in-600# ANSI LG FF STUD PAD". Can a flange be "large groove" and "flat faced"?

I am doing a joint analysis to determine best torque required and have not come across an LG FF Stud Pad before. Just trying to figure out how best to describe it.

Thanks in advance.

I added a snip of the description from the nozzle schedule. "LFF"? Here is a picture that shows a bigger sample of the nozzle schedule. The detail for N03 says the same thing "LG FF".

OK, I think I figured it out. It looks like LG FEMALE FACE. Thanks anyway!

Looks like what is commonly called a studding outlet. Can't make out the facing details, but not flat face. Inconsistent terminology on the dwg "LG FF" vs "LFF". I'd guess nomenclature peculiar to the fabricator. ANSI referance is archaic.

Mike

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand
