I have a few weeks to prepare for an interview, and also just want to learn about the fascinating subject. What is a short list of the best books on efficient (lean) manufacturing strategy and history? I want to hear the stories of Toyota, Boeing, Ford, and GM that I wasn't taught or didn't pay attention to in school in addition to what companies are striving for in the here and now.
