Layers and plot level

Is it possible in AutoCad to give the layers a plot level? Normally the last edited layer is printed on top.

No,
it's not possible.
You have to use "_draworder"
Maybe there's a lisp in the www, that does sort the layers.
Which ACAD-version are you running?

hit the F1 key...
"_draworder" moves an object (a solid hatch pattern eg.) all the way to the back, or on the top, or...
