Large Pattern

[MBFC]

Hi all,

I need to create a pattern containing 5000+ instances... Even with the simple feature to pattern - just a straight thru hole and Geometry Pattern, it takes enormous amount of time to regenerate...
Is there a way to get around? Any trick to reduce regeneration time to be acceptable?
I wouldn't blame on the hardware - My machine running on 64-bit OS, 12GB of RAM and a descent Video Card...

Please, advise...

There is a way to copy surfaces, pattern them and solidify that is much faster. Still tends to bog down at some point. Check out this tutorial, there are others on youtube etc.
