Knowing When to Test using Reliability Engineering

Hi All,

I am making the assumption that if a design change's fault tree has failure rates in it's faults, that failure rate would need to be verified through testing. But would this also depend upon the faults design assurance level though? Thank you.
 
?? Hardly anything gets tested. It's mostly by analysis.
