I'm fairly new to Solidworks, having switched over after about nine years with Pro/E / Creo. One thing I miss sorely from Creo is being able to map common functions to keyboard shortcuts. In Creo, it was a function called "Mapkeys," but I haven't found anything like that in Solidworks 2013. Does such a thing exist and I'm just looking in the wrong places, or am I just stuck with a lot of mousing and button clicking? I did see that there are some macro functions under the "Tools" drop-down menu, but that seems to be a heavier-duty Visual Basic macro, not the simple keyboard mapping I'm looking for.

You can do exactly what you want on 'Keyboard' tab of Tools\Customize
