Joining Line Segments

We are using 2002.
Is there a way to join two line segments?

You can turn them into polylines with PEDIT and join them. There are LISP routines to extend and join two lines also. We use Mechanical and it has a built in routine for this.

You can join them in a polyline, but you still have the middle point as a point...it's not just a single "line" when you get done. You can grip-edit one line to the end point of the other, then delete the 2nd one.
