Hi,
We have a compartment in our current project which is surrounded by J-60 bulkhead and deck.
The problem is we cant find any supplier who can provide J-60 fire damper. Anyone would advise the availability in market.
Thanks

J60 specifically references fire jet resistance. Does your classification society require this resistance? You classification society should be able to direct you to a vendor, otherwise, I think your requirement is misplaced.

Hi,
Thanks for your response.
That compartment is just next to the topside module of FPSO & currently considered as J60 boundary protected space.
If fire propagation and smoke dispersion study can prove, the fire damper can be used as H Class which can easily source in the market.

J60 doors, hours, and penetrations are common while dampers are not. Perhaps it would be wise to provide the module with it's own ventilation to avoid the need for dampers between modules?
