Isometric Drawings

I'm updating my first isometric drawing. How do I include instrumentation and electrical on the drawings? I have a sketch of what I want to incorporate into the iso drawings, but don't have any dimensions. So, do I need dimensions to incorporate I&E into the iso? Does the I&E have to be drawn to scale?

Isometrics are never to scale, is there someone in your neighbourhood with a piping guide for Your development in piping and iso's?

Unfortunately, no. I do understand drawings and diagrams, but I've never worked extensively with isometrics.

It is obvious to me that you have little experience in piping design

You may look at another set of iso drawings. Inspection iso does not give dimensions. You can find dimensions (size, length) and location of instrumentations on Construction iso. Hope this helps.

I'll have to differ about isometric drawings never being to scale. As long as you draw along the principal axes, these drawings can be made to scale. The problem arises when you draw in the directions of the non-principal axes and when you draw angles.

Chicopee, You make me curious, which 3d program generates iso's to scale,
and what companies lets You draw iso's with pencil to scale, and what is the connection between horizontal and vertical lines?

I do isometric drawing with ACAD using there isometric command which is not a 3D utility, just 2D giving the appearance of a 3D drawing.
