Dear All,

Do you agree that the severity region graph (in part 2) is of little practical use?

I do not think I have ever used them in materials selection using the 2003 and later editions! If it is CS, then the limit the hardness and HIC follow TM0284 … etc. If it CRA, then follow what is the tables in Part 3. I do not see any need to look at this graph!

I guess, just guess, it was inherited from a previous standard and plugged in out of context in this standard!

Your opinions?

Regards,
Corroneer

I do agree, in terms of all the approaches that I have experienced with end users: it's either sour, or it isn't; there aren't degrees of sour.
