IR Transmissivity of Nylon

I would like to detect teeth on a sprocket made of nylon 6 using an IR opto-interrupter. The sprocket is 0.110" thick. The LED emits IR at 940 nm. Will the sprocket teeth successfully block the IR? Where can I find the IR transmissivity of Nylon?

It would seem that the ability to block IR is related to the amount of glass and choice of colorant in the Nylon.
