I have a copy of 1973 SAE Handbook. It references J498c for involute splines.
1) What is the current SAE designation for involute splines?
2) We need to design an external spline to mate with a vendor internal spline. Machinery Hdbk lists only 30 deg, 37.5 deg, and 45 deg splines. Our vendor spline is spec'd at 14.4 deg. Is this really a spline or a gear?
3) Is there a link on the web that will give us specific spline data. Jesus is The TRUTH
